Orientation is vital to the academic well-being of all commencing students. Often the transition to university is the hardest part of tertiary education and as a result all students are strongly encouraged to attend Orientation.
During Orientation students will be introduced to key academic and professional staff, as well as student mentors. Students will be given a campus and library tour, a walk through key information systems, and attend important information sessions.
In addition to on-campus Orientation, all students have access to Orientation Online once they have enrolled, and it is open for the whole of the first term of enrolment. This is especially valuable to students unable to attend in person. For all new students commencing from Term 2, 2013, onwards Orientation Online will be compulsory.
The Orientation webpage will provide you with the schedules and requirements of all on-campus Orientations, as well as a link to Orientation Online, and can be accessed via www.cqu.edu.au/orientation.
A link to Orientation Online is also available at the bottom of this page.
