Orientation Online is designed to provide you with the information you need to become a successful student at CQUniversity. It will help you become familiar with CQUniversity's online systems and the support and services available to you.
Orientation Online should be completed after you accept your offer as the information is designed to prepare you for your first few weeks of study. Completing Orientation Online during this time will also help you process information that you receive during your face-to-face on campus orientation.
From Term Two, 2013, Orientation Online will be compulsory for all commencing CQUniversity undergraduate and postgraduate students. The compulsory components include completing a short quiz based on the information provided in Orientation Online, and an Academic Integrity Module on referencing and plagiarism.
To go to Orientation Online, please click the banner below, log in with your student number and password and select ORIE_12345_OrientationOnline from the list.
Please note that Orientation Online is not available to research higher degree students, STEPS, TEP, ELICOS, or students returning after a leave of absence if they have previously studied at CQUniversity.
Past students say attending on campus orientation was the most valuable thing they did to prepare for study.
Orientation is fun and informative and provides an excellent opportunity to meet academic and support staff, student mentors and other students. Orientation sessions are designed to introduce you to academic life, support services and the administrative systems essential for you to manage your study program.
Orientation for international students (on a student visa) is compulsory. For International Students residing in Rockhampton you will need to attend information sessions in addition to Orientation. At other campuses, you need to attend all orientation sessions.
