Important Information for Students 2013

This documents provides students with important information relevant to each academic year.

Credit Transfer (RPL)

Course Credit (also known as Credit Transfer or Exemptions) may be granted to students who are able to demonstrate appropriate prior learning or experience.

CQUniversity Student Handbook

The Student Handbook provides you with information on your program structure and outlines the courses required for each program. It is important that you view the information provided in the Student Handbook.

Calendar of Principal Dates (Key Dates)

This provides you with all the important dates that you need to know during each year. It is important that you familiarise yourself with these dates each year. This lists dates such as:

• last day to add;
• last day to drop (census date);
• exam periods; and
• certification of grades date.

You can find all your course profiles here. Course Profiles provide you with:

• Information on the course
• Course Coordinator contact details;
• Textbook requirements;
• Weekly study schedule;
• Assessment due dates and details;
• Exam details; and
• Other important information relating to the course.
  

It is important that you access your course profile for each course. All course profiles will be available to students 2 weeks before the commencement of each term.

Student User Guides are available here. These will provide you with helpful information including information on helping you navigate through the CQUniversity systems.

These provide you with helpful instructions and information on a variety items relating to your study.

Timetabling (Class & Exam)

Class and Exam timetables are available here. Each standard class and exam timetable will have a draft published first, with the final being released after a review period of the draft timetables. You can also find the deferred/supplementary exam timetables here as well.

Examinations

The Examinations section is responsible for administering examinations for all CQUniversity students. You will find information on:

• OMR card information; and
• Assessment and Coursework Policy.
