For information on the different stages of Monitoring Academic Progress, please click the appropriate link below. If you still have further questions, please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions – ‘General’ and ‘MAP Stages 2 & 3’.
You have been identified at MAP Stage 1 because you have demonstrated unsatisfactory academic progress in your previous term of study. The University defines unsatisfactory academic progress as a student failing more than 50% of their courses in a term, or failing the same course twice. Note there are other factors that can place you on a MAP Stage, please see the MAP policy and procedures.
You are now required to participate in an interview (either face-to-face or over the phone) with a CQUniversity Student Support Centre staff person. Please arrange this interview within 10 working days of the date of your MAP 1 letter by following the link in your MAP 1 email or contacting the Student Support Centre on the details below.
To prepare for the interview please read the MAP 1 Action Plan that was attached to your email. The aim of the interview is to provide you with individualised support to assist you in identifying the factors that contributed to your unsatisfactory academic progress and to help you develop strategies to overcome these obstacles. These strategies are recorded in the abovementioned MAP 1 Action Plan.
