Conservatorium Friends

The Friends are a group of community members who give of their time and energy to support the students of the Conservatorium. In past years, the Friends have provided a total of $35,000 to assist students with:

• Campus projects
• Sponsorship of visiting artists
• Student bursaries and activities
• Student prizes

The more recent activities of the Friends have included:

• Fostering interest in and support for the Conservatorium
  
• Promote activities that will stimulate such interest eg support student concerts by organising refreshments and assisting with advertising the functions
• Make gifts to the Conservatorium to provide improved facilities
• Support activities of students in presenting themselves to prospective employers
• Assist in obtaining instruments, scores, works of art for the Conservatorium
  
• Organising a fund raising dinner at which excellent entertainment is provided by Conservatorium staff and students

Friends may take advantage of advanced bookings and exceptional discounts to concerts and events at the Conservatorium.

Meetings of Friends

Meetings are held in the foyer of the Conservatorium at CQUniversity Mackay at 5.30pm on the fourth Wednesday of each month. Please join us at the next meeting.

Joining the Conservatorium Friends

Current fees:

• $30.00 (Family)
• $15.00 (Single)
• $10.00 (Pensioner/Student)

Please note that membership fees are for a calendar year i.e. 1 st January - 31 st December

The fee paid for membership of Conservatorium Friends, Mackay Inc. is an allowable deduction for income tax purposes.

Financial membership entitles the holder to the benefits of the Ticketsave Card Service.
