Application & Audition Deadlines

The Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music (CQCM) will accept online applications at any time. The Conservatorium operates in Terms 1 and 2 of the university calendar only. Term 1 commences at the end of February each year and Term 2 in July.

The deadline for audition for the first round offers is Friday 23 November. Late auditions may be accepted up until February. Notification of late audition should be made to musicandtheatre@cqu.edu.au or phone 07 4940 7801.

Live auditions will be held at the following locations. If applicants are unable to make the live auditions in Brisbane and Townsville a DVD audition will be required.

• Brisbane - Tuesday 30 & Wednesday 31 October
• Townsville - Thursday 1 November
• Rockhampton - Tuesday 6 November 
• Mackay - Wednesday 7 November

DVD auditions to be considered in the first round of offers need to be in by Friday 2 November. Late DVD auditions will be considered, for further details contact the Music and Theatre Administrator as per the above details.

Applicants must also apply to the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) who governs the place offerings to programs at universities in Queensland. You may apply to QTAC by completing a form and lodging it with QTAC or apply at www.qtac.edu.au. Please make note of deadlines set by QTAC.
