Census date is an important date for all students at all universities in Australia. Census date is also the last day to withdraw from a unit for the current term without incurring academic or financial penalty. At CQUniversity, our Census dates are published in the Academic Calendar.

Here are the Census dates for Higher Education coursework students in 2024:

  • Term 1 2024: 26 March 2024
  • Term 2 2024: 30 July 2024
  • Term 3 2024: 26 November 2024

Students in Research Higher Degrees, TAFE, and Be Different courses should refer to the relevant Academic Calendar for Census dates. Be Different students can also refer to the Be Different Census Date article.

Census date is the due date for organising your student finances and withdrawing from units. Ignoring your financial and enrolment responsibilities could lead to significant disruption to your studies, like losing your access to Moodle, or even cancellation of your enrolment.
