There are additional alternative methods to satisfy your entry requirements which could the STAT (Special Tertiary Admissions Test), or PCA (Personal Competencies Assessment), however successful completion of these will not necessarily guarantee entry.
Domestic students enrolling at our range of programs available at our Sydney Campus will need to apply directly to CQUniversity for enrolments for Semester 3 2011, and through the Universities Admission Centre (UAC) for Semesters 1 & 2 in 2012.
The direct application form for Term 3 enrolments can be downloaded here, and is to be completed and sent to the contacts on the form.
If you have completed the National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) level three in New Zealand are eligible to apply for a tertiary place through QTAC. You must apply through the Apply By Web (ABW) application service. A common measure is used to determine Year 12 student achievement, which is provided by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) to QTAC.
You will need to ensure that you meet the entry requirements for your chosen program, which is traditionally a combination of prerequisite studies that you will complete during your senior schooling and an Overall Position (OP) score. To view OP scores and prerequisites for degrees, locate your degree of choice under the ‘What Can I study’ section of this website.
To be a successful university student it is not essential for you to have completed Year 12 or any other formal academic qualifications. There are numerous options you can consider when contemplating applying to a tertiary institution. In fact, QTAC offers an Assessment of Qualifications Service* that will assist you in determining whether you are likely to qualify for entry into university or what you would need to do in order to successfully apply. This guidance might be the push you need to navigate your way through the application process.
Visit QTAC’s non-Year 12 Entry section for more information on how to apply, and how your eligibility will be determined.
