Assistance includes:

  • assisting students in understanding information literacy concepts and providing opportunities to learn skills in locating, evaluating and using information from a range of information sources.
  • Creating online guides [URL: http://libguides.library.cqu.edu.au/shhss] which include tips and hints on locating relevant resources for specific programs or individual assessment tasks.
  • assisting clients to locate specific information required for study or research.
  • collaborating with academics to tailor information literacy programs to meet individual needs, including input into design and planning of information literacy components of new academic courses.
  • evaluating and developing the Library's information resources in the discipline area to ensure they are current and reflect client needs and library policies.
  • advising on deployment and utilisation of resources across all campuses.
