Embedded LProfessional Learning

Our Embedded Professional Learning website has been specifically created for our Teaching Schools and the Mentor Teachers who mentor our CQUniversity's pre-service teachers.

Our pre-service teachers are enrolled in innovative teacher education degrees which are underpinned by the construct of Learning Management. Learning Management programs are designed to meet the changing needs of the education workforce and related industries. Learning Management is broadly defined as the process of designing learning experiences to achieve learning outcomes in all students. Our programs graduate Learning Managers who are workplace ready and futures oriented. Workplace ready implies that the student on graduation will have specialist knowledge and skills relevant to the specific context in which they will be working. Futures orientation implies a capability to engineer an alternate teaching and learning future. As managers of learning, graduating students will be able to develop and grow with the changing needs of education and learners, now and in the future.

CQUniversity's teacher education programs are delivered in a variety of locations and by a variety of means. We currently have pre-service teachers studying internally at Bundaberg, Emerald, Gladstone, Mackay, Noosa, Rockhampton and most recently the Geraldton University Centre. We also have pre-service teachers undertaking our teaching degrees via distance education who are located throughout Queensland and interstate. No matter where our pre-service teachers are completing their Embedded Professional Learning, this website is one of the many support mechanisms we offer you.
