In the performing arts, our programs in Music and Theatre offered through the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music, offer you individual attention from experienced teachers, and opportunities to work with some of the best national and international artists in jazz, contemporary music, music theatre, drama and technical theatre as well as theatre professionals from both stage and screen. At both undergraduate and postgraduate level, performing to industry-level standards in music and theatre will be the focus of your studies, and you will receive personalised tuition in your speciality. Our Multimedia programs can prepare you for a career in the digital media industries. The Bachelor of Multimedia Studies features courses in areas such as graphic design, web design, web application development, video production and post-production, interface design, photography, illustration, 3D modelling and animation, game design, social media, mobile application development, project management and more. Working within multimedia computer laboratories and production studios, you will learn how to create digital content for a variety of applications. The Multimedia program will also give you the opportunity to engage with clients on real-world projects, ensuring that you are work-ready upon graduation. Our postgraduate programs (coursework as well as research Masters and PhD) in Creative Enterprise and Creative Industries respond to the policies of national and international governments in the creative industries, and focus on readying you to take up positions in the creative industries including as professional artists and administrators; including in writing, editing and publishing, fine arts; conferencing and events; galleries and displays; music; broadcasting and web casting; film and television; publishing; publicity and promotion; theatre and performance; events and festivals; fashion, graphic and web design; cultural tourism; and social media. Many of these postgraduate programs provide an opportunity to complete major creative project under supportive supervision.
