Financial Concerns

1. I am a CQUniversity student who has a HECS HELP or FEE HELP financial problem. What should I do?

If you are concerned with the re-crediting of SLE/FEE HELP, use the eForm available at:  http://content.cqu.edu.au/FCWViewer/view.do?page=7019.  The Student Fees Enquiry is the form to complete and submit.  The hotlink is:  http://content.cqu.edu.au/FCWViewer/view.do?page=9449.  Once you have completed the form, hit "Submit".  Make a written record of the date/time you submitted your enquiry.  If you have further problems, call the CQUniversity Australia Student Contact Centre on 132786.  You may chosse to contact the Rockhamtpon Office of the CQUniversity Student Association for assistance in this process by email at association-advocacy@cqu.edu.au or phone freecall within Australia on 1800 804 228. 

If your application for recrediting HECS HELP or FEE HELP is declined you may appeal the decision by lodging a further application with the CQUniversity Review Officer by email HELPreviewofficer@cqu.edu.au

If your concerns remain unaddressed to your satisfaction, you should immediately contact the Administrative Appeals Tribunal at http://www.aat.gov.au/ who will advise you further on such matters.

2. I am a full fee paying CQUniversity student at an International Campus (Brisbane, Gold Coast, Melbourne or Sydney) who has a financial problem. What should I do?

Go to campus Reception and ask to speak with someone in authority over his matter.

If you still have problems, contact the Rockhampton office of the CQUniversity Student Assocation by e-mail at association-advocacy@cqu.edu.au or phone freecall within Australia on 1800 804 228.  Give them all your documentation to date, and ask them to submit your case to the Student Ombudsman on your behalf.

3. I am a full fee paying student (not at an AIC) who has a financial problem.  What should I do?

If the Student Ombudsman does not support your claim, and you consider this is unfair, you may approach the Office of the Queensland State Ombudsman at http://www.ombudsman.qld.gov.au/ and click on Make a Complaint at http://www.ombudsman.qld.gov.au/MakeaComplaint.aspx
