  1. I have a problem with accessing my grade for the term. What should I do?
If your problem is that your grade has not been released after certification date, and you are an AIC student, or a student at an overseas site, you should go immediately to the Faculty Office at your site for assistance.  Distance education and Queensland campus students should email their Course Coordinators.  If you still have problems, you should then forward your original email in a new email to your Head of School or Program.  If you think it is due to a computer problem, you should email helpdesk@cqu.edu.au for assistance, or visit the IT Helpdesk or Client Service Centre at your campus.

  2. I have a problem with my grade for this term.  What should I do?
If you are studying at a CQUniversity campus in Australia, before contacting me, first
check the Review of Grade policy. This is outlined at: http://rog.cqu.edu.au

    • The full Review of Grade policy is found at: http://policy.cqu.edu.au/Policy/policy.jsp?policyid=465. Click on View Policy to open the document.  Carefully consider the sections explaining what the appropriate grounds are (and are not) for launching an application.
    • After having read the policy carefully, and having had an Informal Consultation with your lecturer/tutor, gather all documents, e-mails etc together in chronological order and then contact the CQUniversity Student Association's Academic Advocacy and Support staff at your campus.  Once at the CQUSA website, click on "Staff Contacts" to find the student representative at your campus. If you are enrolled as a FLEX student, email: association-advocacy@cqu.edu.au or phone freecall:  1800 804 228.
    • If you are studying with a CQUniversity partner company at an overseas site, before contacting me, go to Student Services or your Program Consultant at that site.

  3. I have been alleged to have been guilty of cheating or plagiarism? How can I tell what is cheating or plagiarism?
The Student Ombudsman does not handle these matters, as they are outside the Terms of Reference for the Office. However, for helpful information, view this site.
    • If you are studying at a campus in Australia , contact the CQUniversity Student Association's Academic Advocacy and Support staff at your campus at least three days before your hearing. Failure to make early contact with the Student Association may weaken their ability to represent you effectively.
