CQUniversity and the English Language Centre

CQUniversity is the university for the Rockhampton region. The university was established in 1967 and is 100 per cent owned by the Australian Government. The main campus is in Rockhampton with others at Mackay, Bundaburg, Emerald and Gladstone. Around 3000 students study on campus with more learning by distance education.

The English Language Centre is located in its own purpose built buildings on the main campus at Rockhampton. The centre offers high quality English programs including General English from elementary to upper intermediate, English for Academic Purposes and study tours. It is is fully accredited by NEAS, a member of English Australia and runs the only IELTS test centre in the region.

CQUniversity English Language Centre, Rockhampton has been running for 22 years making it one of the oldest language schools in Australia.  The Language Centre is part of CQUniversity's International Department and is an established part of Rockhampton's community.

English Language Centre students have access to the university facilities. These include free 24 hour Internet access, the library and cafeteria. Students can also use the university gym and swimming pool for a small fee.
