Operational Issues

The following outlines some of the known issues with the CQUniversity Access Grids with potential solutions or work arounds.

Issue: Poor Audio.

Indicator: A possible indicator is that local audio is being transmitted locally (ie like a PA system), and when you tap on the mic, you can hear the tap on the local speakers.

Cause: The most likely cause is that the soundcard mixer settings have changed!

Solution: A full reboot of the display machine should resolve this issue.

Issue: Screen resolution on projector not correct

Solution: There is a number of solutions, would suggest you try the following in order:

  • Use the auto-adjust feature on the projector's remote;
  • Try restarting X (This will shut downing basically anything running) by hitting ctrl-alt-backspace; and then
  • Reboot projection machine.
