Benchmarking Data Sources

Data Dashboards - CQUniversity provides a significant amount of data relevant to benchmarking activities through its Dashboards available from https://radar.cqu.edu.au including, but not limited to:

  • Enrolment monitoring and trends.
  • International student catchment details
  • Program and course histories
  • Attrition and retention rates.
  • Program and course performance.
  • Australian Graduate Survey data from Course Experience Questionnaires and the Graduate Destination Survey
  • CQUniversity course evaluation surveys
  • DEEWR submission data for sector and staff profile benchmarking.

Also look at information available from external sources such as professional bodies, or through a benchmarking partnership with an appropriate partner institution. Some additional suggested data sources are provided under the link "Benchmarking and You".

Check with the relevant financial signatory to budget for financial support of any benchmarking project.

Consideration should also be given to the staff time required to undertake the benchmarking project, possible implementation costs of any enhancement to be undertaken versus potential savings from enhancement, and the possible need for visits with partner organisation or involvement in forums.
