New Sessional Staff Induction

As part of new staff induction, the Office of Learning and Teaching have prepared a three hour workshop that has been specifically designed for sessional staff new to our university. The session is held on all campuses (number permitting) and is offered in the evening to allow greater flexibility to new staff that may have other commitments.

The session is hands-on providing information on Moodle fundamentals, as well as discussion around learning and teaching philosophies, marking, using academic integrity software (Turn-it-in), uploading assessments, providing feedback and understanding who are students are.

It should be noted that all sessional staff are welcome to attend induction sessions, but at their own cost and in their own time. CQUniversity is reviewing this policy.
