New members of academic staff with a teaching role need to complete the first course in the Graduate Certificate in Higher Education. This course is the Nature of Learning and Teaching (OLTC20003), and is delivered by distance education (via Moodle). As a participant, you will explore the theories, policies, quality, innovations and technologies in learning and teaching, with the aim being to consolidate sound educational practice. Recognition of prior learning and course exemption options are available should you have higher education teaching, or equivalent experience.
As a participant in the course, you will have full support from your Dean of School as well as from the Vice Chancellor, who has waived the fee. The course is available in all three teaching terms.
To enroll, you need to complete a Staff Study Support Application Form and have this approved by your Dean of School, or equivalent. A summary of the process and associated forms are as follows, and are located in the OLT's Staff Portal Documents:

I believe firmly that CQUniversity's transformation will be achieved with your help because, as a community, we are defining our problems, setting common goals, implementing measures of success and working together to make the most of the resources we have.Again, welcome as a new member of the CQUniversity community.
