The mission of the Office of Learning and Teaching (OLT) is to foster quality teaching and learning across CQUniversity Australia. In doing so, we take a leadership role in addressing professional development, curriculum and teaching support for current and future practitioners in higher education. In all of our activities, we create a supportive learning environment in which to explore teaching practices and reflect upon a range of contemporary educational design and instructional issues.
We are one of the most engaged, supportive and responsive universities in Australia and we're focused on making higher education and research more accessible and relevant to all people. Learning and teaching are those activities that contribute to the conduct of delivering the content of courses and programs of study; development and innovations in curricula and teaching resources; assessment of and feedback on students' learning achievements; and scholarship in learning and teaching relevant to the professional discipline and appropriate for the level of appointment.
The office is lead by Pro Vice Chancellor Professor Rob Reed, and has both academic and professional staff that focus on L&T quality, grants and awards, educational development, academic professional development, educational technologies, video production, multimedia development and online course delivery support.
