Training and TRIM

Corporate Governance administer the organisation's recordkeeping system (TRIM) and provide monthly  training sessions covering the basic principles of records management.

Training

The monthly Records and Information Management training provides employees with a basic understanding of:

  • What is a record?
  • Why do I need to keep records?.
  • Which records should I keep?
  • How and where do I keep those records?
To attend a session you must book in via ESSO.

Staff located off Rockhampton campus should inform the Records Team records@cqu.edu.au that an ISL link is needed for the session.

TRIM

TRIM is the official Electronic Document and Record Management System (EDRMS) of the University.  All business information must be placed in this system to be managed in accordance with university policies.

TRIM Access

If you require access to the TRIM system your supervisor or manager will need to contact the Records Team at records@cqu.edu.au authorising your access to the system.

A number of User Guides have been created to support you in using TRIM:

TRIM Training

Once access has been provided the Records Team will follow up to provide TRIM Training alternatively you may request additional training by contacting the Records Teamon x2686 or email records@cqu.edu.au.
