Whether you are new to the higher education sector or not, taking on a new role is always a challenge, and the People and Culture Directorate is here to offer you support and guidance throughout your entire career at CQUniversity.

As a new staff member employed by CQUniversity, you are required to complete the online New Staff - Induction training module. In addition to providing general information about the University, the Induction program includes the compulsory Health & Safety Induction, EO Online Induction, and the Fire Evacuation program which must be completed within your first 48 hours of starting with the University. Successful completion of these modules will be recorded in your personnel records on ESSO. For academic staff, information on the compulsory Foundation training program is also available through the Online Induction program.

The online induction can be a useful source of information no matter what stage you are at in your career here at CQUniversity. For example, each time you change location within the University, you will need to familiarise yourself with the building specific Fire Evacuation Program available through the Health & Safety Induction segment.
