As a new employee of CQUniversity, it is important that you understand all aspects of our organisation. This interactive online employee induction programme is to familiarise you with the University and its expectations, policies and procedures.

The University is required by law to provide specific elements of this induction, and to demonstrate that every reasonable effort has been made to ensure staff fully understand their rights and obligations under the law and in line with CQUniversity policies.
Legislative elements such as the Fire Evacuation Plan (FEP, accessed via the Health and Safety induction pages), general Health and Safety information, and the Equal Opportunity program (EO Online) should be completed within the first 48 hours of employment. Each of these will involve a brief questionnaire and the successful completion of which will be recorded on your employment file (within the ESSO system).
In addition, this online induction will provide you with an overview of your rights and responsibilities as an employee. Further information will be provided by your Supervisor whilst working through the New Staff Orientation Checklist. Once the checklist has been completed, both you and your supervisor will be required to sign and return the form to finalise the Induction and Orientation process.
