Your Responsibilites - Under CQU's Rehabilitation Procedures you are required to participate in the Rehabilitation Program by monitoring the staff member's progress, identifying suitable duties, adjusting workplace procedures and rosters and providing equipment and modifications to the workplace (within reason) should these be required for the staff members return to work. The Rehabilitation Coordinator is your information contact throughout the process.
Salaries - When a staff member lodges a Worker's Compensation Claim, CQUniversity continues to pay salaries as normal with salaries being booked against the staff members leave entitlements. If WorkCover accepts the claim, then all relevant leave entitlements are refunded to the staff member and recorded as WorkCover by payroll. All relevant salaries are then reimbursed to CQUniversity by WorkCover and are credited to the costing code from which the staff member is paid.
