Safety - Manual Handling

Manual handling is any activity requiring the use of force by a person to lift, lower, push, pull, carry or otherwise move, hold or restrain an object. Plan a manual handling task before you commence.

Correct manual handling is working smarter not harder. If you use the correct manual handling technique, you will minimise your effort and maximise your output.

CQUniversity has a responsibility to provide a safe working environment and systems, which includes safety training. The Health, Safety, Environment and Training Unit provides Safe Manual Handling training. You are requested to attend the next session which can be found by viewing the online Training and Professional Development Calendar.
