Why Undertake Workplace Inspections

Each year CQUniversity is required to undertaken workplace inspections across the organisation in line with legislative requirements. Regular inspections ensure that current processes are assessed for their effectiveness, and help in drafting action plans to address deficiencies.

Templates

The following templates are used for inspections of general workplace areas and laboratory areas. The workstation assessment checklist is also used to provide for correct workstation setup. Only competent personnel should be engaged to perform inspections and complete checklists. The Health, Safety, Environment and Training (HSET) Unit is currently working with stakeholders to develop and implement further inspection templates and checklists, and these will be added as they become available. For further information please contact the HSET Unit.
